INOV is a Portuguese Research and Technology Organisation working in Information and Communications Technologies and Electronics, and the leading private institute in Portugal in Safety and Security R&D. INOV’s main purpose is the participation in technological development and innovation processes in close cooperation with governments, industry and universities, with the goal of bridging the gap between academia and the market and supporting technology transfer. Over its more than 20 years of operation, the institute has accumulated strong technical expertise and focuses on applied research and technological development, in areas such as: Cyber Security and Cyber Defence, Artificial Intelligence, Communication and Sensor Networks, Network Architectures and Protocols, Command and Control systems, Cyber-Physical Systems, as well as Remote Monitoring and Surveillance, among others.
INOV has extensive experience in large National and European R&D projects (FP6, FP7, H2020, Horizon Europe, ESA, EDF) with over 70 participations in the last 10 years, including project coordination roles. In particular, INOV has a consolidated track-record in the development of technological solutions for Critical Infrastructure Protection, and was the coordinator of project ENSURESEC, focused on the cyber-physical protection of the e-commerce ecosystem.
