Norsk Regnesentral (NRS) is a non-profit independent research institute located in Oslo, Norway. NRS carries out contract research for business, the public sector, and private organizations both in Norway and internationally. NRS has developed a unique portfolio of competence in statistical modelling, machine learning and AI, image analysis and earth observation, and ICT. NRS is one of Europe’s largest environments in applied statistics. Within ICT the main research areas are digital security, data security and privacy, digital inclusion, and digital transformation. A common thread in NRS’ research projects is their interdisciplinary nature.
